We want members to feel safe and feel comfortable using this plattform. Therefore here are things we have enabled and that you need to do:
Email Adress and mobile phone number: Members register by providing their email adress and mobile phone number. These are not shared with other members, unless you do it yourself.
2 factor authentication via mobile phone: To verify their identity members are required to verify their email and then sign in by entering the one-time-password send to their mobile number.
Photos: "A photo tells more than a 1000 words." Every member has to upload a recent profile photo and photos of how and where they live. This gives potential friends an idea with whom they are communicating and the ability to get to learn about a different lifestyle.
ID Verification: Members who have given us their phone number and email address receive a 100% verification icon.
Utility bill: A new member has to upload a recent utility bill, which will not be seen by any other member, but will be checked by admin to ensure you are indeed living in a senior living community. The member receives a 110% verification icon on the profile.
Communication: We encourage communication via our messaging system to have a track record and to avoid scams. Make sure you have spoken over the phone and also via camera, by using skype or whatsapp, before meeting in person or planning a trip together. If you feel you have made a good match and you wish to make travel plans together, confirm the trip by creating and accepting the (non-binding) travel agreement in your messaging inbox, to confirm travel dates and personal data to each other. In case of a violation of our
community guidelines please report the person to us directly.
Travel agreement: here both parties insert their travel details and dates. The travel agreement is not legally binding, it's purpose is for both parties to be clear about their plans and have the necessary details available. If you travel together, discuss and agree on how you will cover the costs of trains, flights, dinners, hotels etc. The travel agreement link can be found in your message inbox.
Reviews: we ask all our members to review their experience with their new friend, travel partner, home exchange or hospitality exchange partner.
Server and data security: We use 2FA, firewalls and the industry-standard secure socket layers (SSL) encryption on this website and SiteLock Secure to protect data transmissions. Please read our Privacy Policy for further information.
Password: Your account information is protected by a password that you select; you are responsible for your actions taken with your login information and password.
Insurance: please ensure that you have the insurance coverage that you need if you plan to travel or do home exchanges or hospitality exchanges, as this is your sole responsibility.
Private Club: We reserve the right to decline potential members whose credentials do not conform to our standards or community. Furthermore if a person engages in inproper conduct towards other members, or attempts to advertise their business in this plattform, their profile will be removed without further notification.
